The director of the Institute of Nuclear Physics at the Moscow State University, Mikhail Panasyuk, Russia is seeking to launch new projects to study cosmic rays.
"One of the most important government projects we will be working on in the Lunar Base is the neutronium project, which aims to study cosmic rays, which we are supposed to complete after 2030," Panasiuk said.
"This project is one of Russia's most important long-term scientific projects, during which unprecedented ways of studying the cosmic material in our galaxy will be adopted," the official said. "To be able to study the moon well, we must conduct such new experiments."
The official said that Russia's intention to send missions to the moon's surface and to establish a fixed base there to establish astronauts.
