Swedish police confirmed that one person was killed by a blast on Sunday in a residential building south of Stockholm.
Aftonbladet quoted a police spokeswoman, Anna Westerberg, as saying that the blast that killed one young man occurred at around 3 pm in the Farberg district, asserting that the security services had vacated neighboring houses and were conducting investigations into the scene.
The official said it was not clear whether the explosion was a staged operation or an accidental incident.
Sources told the paper that police were looking for a man in his 60s who was inside the building and tried to rescue the dead man.
